Hyperlock Cover

Hyperlock Technologies, a Chicago area software developer, needed a cover image that would convey the concept of "unlocking" the information on a CD.

Art Director Barry Petersen came up with the keyhole-in-a-CD idea with light streaming through the opening. Principal photography of two keys and a CD was shot and scanned. The two keys were merged into one and the CD was given a dimensional keyhole. Background images of swirling mist were added and an array of light rays created in Photoshop to complete the image. Job was delivered as a CMYK file on Zip disk for separation for the folder cover.
